Who we are
Wadi Askar for Building Cleaning Services ("Wadi Askar", "we", "us") is a building cleaning company based at Insurance Building, 2nd Floor, Al Rigga, Deira, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We are the controller of personal data collected through this website and through enquiries.
This policy is written with reference to the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the PDPL).
What we collect
When you contact us we collect the details you give us:
your name, phone number and email address;
the type of property, its area or location and the service you need;
your preferred date and any message you write;
records of our communication with you, and, if you become a client, scheduling and invoicing records.
We do not ask for payment card details through this website.
How we use it
We use your personal data to:
respond to your enquiry and arrange a survey or quote;
schedule and carry out cleaning services and keep you informed;
issue invoices and keep business records;
improve our service and handle complaints.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.
Our basis for using it
Under the PDPL we process personal data where you have given consent, where it is needed to take steps at your request before entering a contract or to perform a contract, where we have a legal obligation, or where it is necessary for our legitimate interests in running the business, provided this does not override your rights. Where we rely on consent you may withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only where needed: with our own team, with building management or security where site access requires it, with service providers such as email, hosting and accounting tools acting on our instructions, and with authorities where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards. We keep contract and invoice records for as long as UAE law requires. When data is no longer needed we delete or anonymise it.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Transfers outside the UAE
Some of our service providers may store data outside the UAE. Where this happens we take steps to make sure the data remains protected in line with the PDPL. [Legal adviser to confirm once the final hosting and email providers are chosen.]
Your rights
Under the PDPL you may have the right to:
ask whether we hold personal data about you and request a copy;
ask us to correct data that is inaccurate;
ask us to delete data or restrict how we use it, in the cases the law allows;
object to certain processing and withdraw consent;
complain to the UAE Data Office.
To use these rights, contact us using the details below.
